Who we are

Our Association was born with the need to show the violence society against all women considerated “no standards”. The no standard process affects every person who is different to “normal idea of person”; for this reason, this association is created by and for disabled women or no standard women. Showing their position in life, we would walk together with all citizens in order to erase these “social conventions” that influence people could live according to the human rights.

We are a group of women with special characteristics because of our physical differences. We want to communicate us and to other people we can joy life with satisfaction and with a whole social integration. At the same time, we want to respect us and other people.

With this we want to say that the most important thing in our group is the good connivance instead of the “differences” with other people. As a general rule, this is not easy because it requires an effort because society tends to explain things in a generical way and forget particularise, specially if these requires efforts.

We believe in a open society that increases our possibilities. It is not to “life”; it is live increasing our person.We are made by a lot of things; we are not just made by a “perfect” body.In an actual society, social relations are very superficial and the body worship is very important; this is very complicated. All of this seems a lot of less, come in reflections, speeches, dialogues, knowledges, informations, formation and to create a way of quality’s lide: we only try it.

In this way of life there are not winners or losers, there are creations since the difference’s contrast. At this way we produce the sublimation in a freedom way against a fight that carry us to the humanity values way.In this last way exists a danger: the integration that wants to “normalize” or make us “standards” instead of it could not be possible. This kind of actions reinforces our limits in front of society.

To “integrate” is not to accept a disabled person and ignore his physical limitations; because for this person these physical limitations are a problem for all his life. For us, to “integrate” means to give the real society place and the function to the disabled person; so disabled person can be as other citizen, not especially one.

So we believe we have to be careful with the positive discrimination, which has very positive points, but also negative ones. This is our work we start and we need all of you to make it reality.

Our association represents disabled women and this population have an elevate unemployment level, receives a lot of violence, margination and isolation for two reasons: gender and disability. For this reason, our association has been constituted and in her we can act in the all the parts of the society that we can in order to get the opportunities equal and the respect of our citizens. But we also want to get human rules could be respected as other “normal” population. Moreover, other targets of this association are to get disabled women’s speeches could be listened. For this reason our organization is managed by disabled women because we believe the unique way to stop the violence is creating positive and affective relations, this is our social apportion.

We work accepting animadversions; this is our basic instrument to follow with new creations. We do not want to convince us between us, simplemint we want to take advantage of our different points of view and differences. In our work, we give importance to the presentation to can create positive relations in order to this carry us to the pacific advisability.
